SMELLS LIKE: dew soaked bouquets, shadows, candlelight & ancient fountains

Take a breath and find yourself suddenly within a dark and opulent dream: you stand amongst the House of the Serpent’s ancient fountains, water droplets shimmer in shadowed corners, rivulets ever-flowing over beautifully carved statues of water-dwelling creatures—the same which occasionally pass by the room’s massive windows below the surface of the Black Lake. Moss grows between the cracks of the fountain’s damp stone base, while waterlilies and duckweed float serenely over the dark waters. Tall, dripping, tapered candles sit atop patinated candelabras, casting glimmers off of surfaces of mercury glass and gilded antiquities. Bouquets of dew-soaked peonies, with petals so delicate they’re akin to lace, and large white roses adorn side tables, filling the air with their sumptuous aroma. The abundance of water features and wet stone lends a certain dampness to the air itself, which, when combined with the dim, ever-present blue-green glow of the lake, serves only to add even more of luxuriant moodiness to the whole space. It so happens that this dream is more of a siren call to forgotten depths—you’re under water but it’s beautiful all the way down.

This fragrance, for me, encompasses the Slytherin Common Room of my dreams and is based primarily on the gorgeous design featured in Hogwarts Legacy. I wanted this to not only capture the “below the lake” vibes that make Slytherin’s common room so unique, but also bring in a beautiful opulence—standing apart from notes you might expect from this common room (like leathers and more cologne-esque notes or very dark, damp dungeon notes. We may be in the dungeons but I am a firm believer in the fact that our common room would smell amazing) and capture the personality of Slytherin house as well. It’s very much a watery-floral and very dewy, existing as a cousin to both our Black Lake candle scent and our Polyjuice Potion candle scent, with base notes of dampness and dark waters perfectly balancing rain-soaked peony and tea rose. It’s as mysterious as it is seductive.

Our perfumes are hand blended using luxury grade, skin safe fragrance oils combined with luxury grade perfumer’s alcohol, a few drops of vitamin e & a few drops of fractioned coconut oil. The perfume blend is then colored with skin-safe, ecologically friendly dye, for a little extra magic!

Our .33oz (10ml) rollerballs are packaged in thin, rectangular glass vials made in Italy and feature illustrated soft-touch labels with striking copper foil detailing, which arrive individually packaged in black kraft boxes.
