Throw the windows of the Great Hall open and breathe in. The rich notes of the room commingle with hints of the Summer harvest and herbal highland greens as they waft in on a breeze. The smoke of last night’s “Summer bonfire night” clings to the ancient tapestries, the rich woods of the hall’s tables, and to your robes. Students nearby play a game of wizard’s chess on an ornately carved board while they sip iced, spiced pumpkin juice. It’s an ambience filled with generations-old traditions, charm and a certain grand elegance - like old furniture, even older architecture, and the fire-lit stories this room could tell.
Simply put, this essentially smells like smoked white pumpkin with a compliment of rich wood notes and a hint of sweetness commingling with ginger. Its smokiness rules the blend, but it’s definitely a delightfully complex ‘lingering bonfire’ feel, rather than what you’d smell if the fire was still raging. (I’m not usually a smokey scent lover, even though I blend them, but this is beautiful in my opinion.) I like to look at this collection as different times in the day and to that end I’d consider this the late afternoon, for its warm, spicy notes. This is a scent designed for the transition between Summer and Fall, though it can be used any time you’d like to add an elegant, but cozy touch to your atmosphere.
